ViteMeir is a Climate Partner

ViteMeir As a Klimpartner, we will become part of the region's most important partnership for emissions reduction and green transition.

Climate Partners Vestland has over 60 partner businesses and ViteMeir It was completely natural that I would become part of the community.

- ViteMeir will take a leading position in climate and environmental work. Through Climate Partners we can share a lot of knowledge and share our lessons. This will be fun, says CEO Erlend Fardal Lunde.

Project manager for Climate Partners Vestland, North, Truls-Einar Strand Johnsen is pleased to have ViteMeir in the partnership:

- I am very happy to have ViteMeir join the team, as the partnership's second science center. We are looking forward to taking part in all the projects ViteMeir has underway.

ViteMeir is moving into the new county municipal building in Kaupanger in the fall, and Lunde does not hide the fact that the sustainable focus during the construction period requires:

- We are moving into a building that, among other things, has 50% of the carbon footprint of a reference building. All of these factors will be binding when we eventually become fully operational. ViteMeir "We're not going to make the easy choices, we're going to make the right choices," concludes Lunde.

Vestland has adopted a goal to become a zero-emission county by 2030. All Climate Partners have been challenged to eliminate all direct emissions by 2030 and set goals in line with this, as well as to be strong drivers for the green shift in the region. The partnership is characterized by the attitude: "This is what we do!"

Climate Partners Vestland was established in 2014, together with the Norwegian Climate Foundation and Hordaland County Council. Since then, the partnership and its leader, Helene Frihammer, have also had a central driving role in spreading the good Climate Partners methodology to the rest of the country. This has been truly successful, because soon strong partnerships can be found throughout Norway. In the role of Strategic Project Manager for Climate Partners, the goal is to strengthen the method and elevate Climate Partners throughout the country.
