Background - what is a science centre?

A science center is a popular science experience and learning center. Imagine a mix of a technical museum, a show, a laboratory and an exciting playground. Then you have a small impression of what we are.

Why a science centre?

Science centres inspire children and adults to explore and seek new experiences, and work with schools to develop new knowledge that society and business will need in the future.

There are currently 13 regional science centres in Norway. ViteMeir at Kaupanger is the centre for the Sogn og Fjordane region.
