Safe travel route for students from Luster

Luster Sparebank has signed a 3-year partnership agreement with ViteMeir for financing bus transport and safe travel routes to and from schools in Luster municipality

ViteMeir and Luster Sparebank were able to share the good news this week with the head of early childhood education in Luster municipality, Knut Åge Teigen.

- We are lucky to have a science center so close by. That's why it's great that we, by sponsoring school transport, can help children and young people in Luster municipality experience it. ViteMeir has to offer. Our goal is that all schoolchildren in Luster will have an exciting and inspiring school day once a year. ViteMeir , says Oddstein Haugen, bank manager at Luster Sparebank.

Luster Sparebank's annual sponsorship contribution finances a minimum of 25 bus transports to and from schools in the municipality and ViteMeir .

- Transportation is a major barrier to ensuring widespread attendance from schools. ViteMeir are therefore dependent on partners like Luster Sparebank seeing the need for financing the bus transport, says the CEO of ViteMeir , Erlend Fardal Lunde.

The first students from Luster municipality will arrive ViteMeir shortly after opening on November 11. Maybe with Oddstein Haugen and Knut Åge Teigen as co-pilots?
