Statkraft makes important contribution
Statkraft Energi AS gives a donation of kr. 200.000 to vaskraft installation and signs 3-year partnership agreement
ViteMeir are very grateful that Statkraft wishes to contribute to the installation of a hydropower installation in the science centre. Hydropower is one of the areas ViteMeir will have the greatest focus on moving towards opening and with the gift from, among others, Statkraft, water power as one of our signature installations can be realised.
- That has been important all along ViteMeir that the power industry contributes in a splicing layer so that the hydropower installation can be realised. The gift from Statkraft is a very important contribution, says Erlend Fardal Lunde, marketing manager for ViteMeir .
Statkraft provides NOK. 200,000 as a gift to the hydropower installation, at the same time as they sign a 3-year partnership agreement with ViteMeir of NOK 100,000 annually from 2021. Contributions to installations from business are crucial to ensure good content for opening, the same applies to annual operating support.
- For ViteMeir financing the content development is the most important task. We will also run a financially viable business after the center opens and we are very grateful for the generous business community so that we can achieve our goals of healthy operations, continued Lunde.
Ingeborg Dårflot, Regional Director for Region Midt-Norway in Statkraft Energi AS, is happy to collaborate with ViteMeir and not least focus on the climate crisis: - The world must solve the climate crisis. We mean that renewable energy is not just part of the solution, it is the solution itself. Together with ViteMeir Statkraft wishes to see the future - children and young people in Sogn og Fjordane - how promising and forward-looking renewable energy is!
Statkraft's regional centre for Central Norway is located in Gaupne. The regional centre operates 24 hours a day and controls and monitors all 32 hydropower plants and 7 wind farms in the region. During the year, the region will be responsible for the operation of Europe's largest wind farm of over 1000 MW under construction at Fosen in Trøndelag.
Statkraft's business is renewable energy. It generates hydro, wind, solar and gas power, supplies district heating and buys and sells energy. Its ambition is to lead the transition to a renewable energy world.
Vala me tek now must be for the best for those who come after us. Through ViteMeir Statkraft wishes to get help to further develop us and the technology, because together with the future we can solve the climate crisis, concludes Ingeborg Dårflot of Statkraft.
