Eskil and Veronica introduce themselves with flames from witch's brew!
Eskil and Veronica become part of ViteMeir after our hunt for digital potatoes
At the end of June announced ViteMeir the first position as Mediator with the cunning angle that I wanted digital potatoes. Veronica Danielsen (25) started in the position on 5 October, while Eskil Nore Kveim (28) starts on 1 January 2021.
- Veronica is a digital potato with both science and communication skills. And when she also has a flaming drill rod with her on the moving load, I am sure that she will be a strong addition to ViteMeir - the family, says communication manager Åse Neraas.
Veronica Danielsen comes from Ramnes, a small village in Vestfold. After five years studying in Oslo, she is now looking forward to getting out of the big city:
- I am a happy, curious and adventurous physicist from a small village. I thrive in smaller places and look forward to getting to know the people and the area in Sogn. I see both the new job and a new place to live as an adventure, and I'm as excited as a little kid on Christmas Eve," says Veronica euphorically.
Veronica has long dreamed of working at a science center and looks forward to a varied working day with plenty of room for creativity. Veronica has, among other things, a master's degree in Science Communication from UiO and is an experienced driller who has taught as a drill instructor.
- "I'm looking forward to meeting so many wonderful people of different ages and hopefully seeing the joy and wonder in their eyes as I help them reveal the lies of nature," Veronica proudly concludes.
The team also includes Åse Neraas, who left West Telemark and Treungen in Nissedal Municipality when his interest in the outdoors lured him to Sogn and Sogndal after folk high school.
- "Eskil is both creative and knowledgeable, and has good knowledge of both the teaching profession and teacher training. In addition, he complements Veronica well in the field of programming, which is something the schools will benefit from in the future," says Neraas.
- Being able to work with the communication of natural science in a practical way attracted me. The fact that the job advertisement was specially designed with digital potato as the title helped to capture my interest," says Eskil.
Eskil is a type who likes to sit by himself and think up strange and exciting activities for those who are going to visit. ViteMeir . As a trained teacher, he looks forward to receiving school classes when ViteMeir opens its doors in autumn 2021.
- It's also not a minus that I can travel straight from work and out on the great cycle paths that Kaupanger has to offer, concludes Eskil, who, according to his own words, came to Sogn as a ski bum and who now becomes a central figure in ViteMeir .
