Erlend Fardal Lunde appointed Marketing Manager

Erlend Fardal Lunde (32) has worked in the hotel industry for 11 years. He has been both hotel manager in Sogndal and hotel director in Sandnessjøen, before being hotel director at Comfort Hotel Bergen Airport for the last three years. He is now employed in a project position with responsibility for sales and marketing at the science center.

Erlend is from Systrond, and his wife Karoline comes from Hafslo. In June last year, they became parents to Aria. When Norway shut down in March, Erlend went on parental leave. Homesickness had begun to set in with both of them, and the time had come for new challenges. – ViteMeir must be the most exciting project in Sogn! I have worked a lot with the computing power profile in the past, and this will also be a main profile in the science centre. Here I can also work with social resilience, and that motivates me. I will be commuting until Christmas. Then the whole family moves to Sogndal.

Both commercially and administratively

- "The tourism perspective," Erlend says in response to why he was interested in this project position. "I come from the tourism industry, but this is a different approach to tourism. I like working with both the commercial and administrative aspects. On September 1, he will start the job of marketing and getting the science center ready to welcome guests next fall. - Among other things, I will be running a 200 m2 café, and here I can use my experience from previous projects to organize a tasty meeting place for both guests at the science centre and those who just want to stop by for a bite to eat.

Strengthens the team

Chairman Tor Arne Ness is well satisfied with getting one more piece in place in the work to build an exciting centre. -Erlend will be a resource for our project. He has a relevant background, and knows well how to create meeting places and develop a tourism product. In addition, he has great work capacity and good references. In parallel with the building being piled up ViteMeir build the organization. Several exciting positions will be announced in the run-up to the opening in autumn 2021. The educational investment will be strengthened, and already August 16 is the application deadline for one of these positions - as a digital potato .
