Sogn Sparebank has signed a new agreement with ViteMeir, securing essential transportation for children from four municipalities for the next three years. "This is a crucial part of ensuring that children from Årdal, Lærdal, Aurland and Vik get their share of the social benefits," says Åse Neraas, communications manager at ViteMeir.

The municipalities of Årdal, Lærdal, Aurland and Vik have all renewed their user agreements with ViteMeir, which ensures that all children, from the oldest in kindergarten up to and including 10th graders, get to visit ViteMeir at least once per school year. The new agreements apply for the next three school years.

Long-term agreements with municipalities are important for a number of reasons. They contribute to predictable operations, but first and foremost, it is these agreements that allow people in the municipalities around us to take part in the social benefits that ViteMeir creates.

Through this agreement, the bank plays a crucial role in ensuring that the children from these four municipalities can take part in playful learning at ViteMeir

Travel and the costs it entails can be a barrier to visiting ViteMeir. Sogn Sparebank is showing that it is a local bank that takes its social responsibility seriously by signing a new, three-year partnership agreement that fully finances bus transport to and from ViteMeir for pupils from Årdal, Lærdal, Aurland and Vik. "Bus expenses are a large part of the cost of a visit to us. We are therefore very pleased that Sogn Sparebank has signed a new partnership agreement. Through this agreement, the bank is a decisive factor in ensuring that the children from these four municipalities can take part in playful learning at ViteMeir," says Neraas.

"We are keen to give back to local communities and help make Sogn an even better place to live and grow up in. That's why, since the start of ViteMeir , we have sponsored bus transportation for kindergarten children and school pupils from Aurland, Lærdal, Vik and Årdal. We are delighted that everyone has equal opportunities to visit the inspiring center," says Ragnhild Skahjem Tofastrud, Head of Communication and Customer Experience at Sogn Sparebank.
