Luster municipality has signed a new user agreement with ViteMeir for the next three school years, and Luster Sparebank is providing the necessary transportation. "This is crucial if the people of Luster are to get their share of social benefits," says Åse Neraas, head of communications at ViteMeir.

After almost three school years in which the residents of Luster municipality have been able to explore the science center and participate in learning programs with skilled educators, Luster municipality has signed a new agreement for the next three school years. This ensures that all pupils in the municipality can visit ViteMeir at least once per school year. The agreement also allows the oldest children in the kindergarten to visit, and opens up for summer school under the auspices of ViteMeir in Luster municipality.

Long-term agreements with municipalities are important for a number of reasons. They contribute to predictable operations, but first and foremost it is these agreements that ensure that the people in the municipalities around us can take part in the social benefits that we create.

"ViteMeir is an important part of the education offered to pupils at Lustraskulen. Having such an offer regionally makes education richer, more varied and more practical," says Knut Åge Teigen, Head of Education in Luster Municipality.

Luster Sparebank has also signed a new partnership agreement with ViteMeir, and through it will fully finance the transport to and from the science center for Luster municipality.

"Luster Sparebank wants to help make it even better to live in the communities we are part of. Having a science center in our region as an offer to both students and other residents contributes to this, in addition to being an attractive offer for visitors to our region. As a local bank, it is therefore particularly pleasing to be involved in supplementing the good educational offerings at schools in Luster municipality by helping pupils to visit ViteMeir. ViteMeir gives pupils inspiration by offering varied and playful learning, something I know the pupils greatly appreciate," says Jermund Lien Molland, bank manager at Luster Sparebank.

"Bus expenses are a huge part of the cost associated with the use of ViteMeir, so the fact that Luster Sparebank is so generous with transport support is something the municipality is very grateful for.
The sponsorship from the savings bank contributes to us being able to maintain a level of activity where all pupils in Lustraskulen get a visit a year at ViteMeir, which is both fun and educational." concludes Knut Åge Teigen.
