We will work purposefully to make children and young people curious about educational choices before technology.

- "This letter of intent lays the foundation for further collaboration to create engagement among children and young people around the challenges that society in general, and not least Sogn og Fjordane, faces in meeting the need for technological expertise in the time to come," says Marianne Jevnaker, project manager for ViteMeir. "The business community is clear that there is a need for recruitment in technology, and young people must be motivated to seek education in technological fields.

ViteMeir and Sitep already has several ideas for how they want to contribute to this.

- "There are several focus areas we want to look at," says Frank Øvstetun, CEO of Sitep. "Among other things, it would be relevant to collaborate on inspiring girls to choose studies in technology by offering facilities and meeting places where they can get "hands-on" experience with e.g. technological equipment. In the long term, we will also look at opportunities to create collaborative projects on various activities and offerings related to technology.

ViteMeir look forward to an exciting and professionally educational collaboration with Sitep in the time to come!
