The Chocolate Factory

Are you also thinking about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory now? Almost, but not quite. We have been visited by VilVite & Talentsenter in Realfag, for two whole days! The talent centers work to inspire and lift students with great learning potential within the science subjects. VilVite added a collection here ViteMeir , where students were able to explore themes and tasks within natural science subjects through the "Chocolate Factory".

The Chocolate Factory is a learning program where the final product was to be a box of chocolates. The students started by brainstorming and finding a suitable opportunity to give/take out chocolates, i.e. they came up with a target group. They designed a mold for the chocolates, which they then 3D-printed. They used this to vacuum-press molds to cast the chocolates themselves, and they also planned the appearance of the chocolates in terms of contents and toppings. Finally, the students drew and designed the chocolate box, which they laser-printed and placed the chocolates in.

The project concluded with a presentation where the students presented both the product and the ideas behind it to the rest of the class.

The Talent Center program is intended to provide challenging and motivating training so that the students who participate have the opportunity to develop professionally, but also to network with others with the same interests.

We had two eventful days here. ViteMeir , where both teachers and students had fun and learned a lot. Thank you very much for visiting!
