We are looking for a new potato! Do you have experience in education? Do you want a working day where you can help children and young people develop an interest in coding and programming? Are you handy and structured? And are you also like the potato and can be used for most things? Then it may well be you that we are looking for.

We want a good communicator who also wants to work on development and projects.

 

Work tasks:

As a facilitator, you will be involved in welcoming different groups, from kindergartens to secondary schools and leisure visitors. In addition, you will help to:

  • Develop and implement practical and digital learning opportunities

  • Visit schools through "ViteMeir on wheels"

  • Participate in various project collaborations

  • Participate in other communication activities on ViteMeir such as events and activities

  • Solving practical challenges related to the development and operation of the exhibition


Qualifications and characteristics:

Are/have you:

  • pedagogical skills or experience in dissemination?

  • a taste for science?

  • digital literacy, and an interest in coding and programming?

  • practical?

  • a tidy and structured team player, preferably with experience in project management?

  • self-reliant, self-taught and fearless?

  • Are you fluent in both Norwegian and English?

  • class B driving licence? Some travel effort must be required.

ViteMeir – The Science Centre in Sogn og Fjordane as – is one of 13 regional science centres in the country. The centre is located in Kaupanger in Sogndal municipality and has been in operation for almost a year and a half. ViteMeir will provide an inspiring and educational offering for kindergartens and schools within science, be a technological experience center for families and leisure guests, and a unique meeting and development arena for the business community. 

As an intermediary, you will have the opportunity to contribute to an exciting workplace in a creative and competent team. The employees at ViteMeir make up about 15 full-time equivalents. The center will be a driving force in the region in close collaboration with kindergartens, schools and businesses.
