Heidi was the lucky one who got the job at ViteMeir
Heidi sits on the roof at home in Kaupanger and can look down on ViteMeir -building. Now she has secured the job as sales and booking manager.
– The fact that I get to help shape something new, not just the position, but the entire concept, was actually one of the things that appealed to me. That was actually the main reason, says Heidi Breili Bøthun .
She was the lucky one to leave her position as sales and booking manager at ViteMeir after several rounds of good candidates.
– I am very happy that Heidi is becoming a part of ViteMeir -family. Throughout the entire process, she has shown us an enormous willingness to work on ViteMeir "Heidi has broad expertise and fits perfectly into our team of potatoes," says CEO Erlend Fardal Lunde.
Position that was written for her
Heidi is a trained teacher, and currently works at Nybø Blomster. She has followed several of ViteMeir their job advertisements, and have been waiting for the right position to be advertised.
– It was written for me, and I thought: I HAVE to have it! I called Erlend the next day, and I was obsessed from the moment I saw the position until the application deadline. I didn't think about much else, she says.
The interview took place in two rounds, first a regular interview, and then a creative task they had to solve.
– It's a sales and booking, so I have to sell myself. I got to use all my creative skills and make a powerpoint about myself. I brought out humor, images, and used symbolism, among other things. ViteMeir -the colors, she says.
The pictures were of herself in different settings on why she was best for the job, among other things she took pictures with ViteMeir -ice.
– I was at MIX and wanted some ice cream ViteMeir "The colors as an illustration of my being systematic, but there is no purple ice cream. But then they had rainbow ice cream, so I made her take only green and purple from the six balls," she says.
Already be prepared
Heidi won't officially start until October, but has already started to get used to it, and may start one day a week as early as August.
– I'm very ready, and excited about everything. I've started thinking and preparing, and reading up, but what's challenging is that I don't know what I'm going to do, she says.
With a background as a gardener and teacher and many years in the service industry, she looks forward to using all her skills in the job, and being a bit of a “potato”. She is also looking forward to meeting the rest of the team, and is used to working in small teams at the nursery.
