Flåm AS becomes a partner and will work together with ViteMeir developed communication around sustainable tourism

In the period 2021 – 2023, Flåm AS will contribute a total of NOK 550,000 to ViteMeir in the form of annual support and contributions to the development of the thematic zone "Sustainable Tourism". 

- This is an agreement that I, as a tourism professional, am extremely proud to have managed to land. Despite the fact that the tourism industry is in an extremely demanding situation, Flåm AS shows that they are thinking forward-looking and long-term. I am incredibly happy that together we will create communication around sustainable tourism, says Erlend Fardal Lunde, CEO of ViteMeir .

Flåm AS has created a world-class destination in Flåm and for Ingrid Lydvo, director of sustainability and business development in Flåm AS, has the agreement with ViteMeir was important to put zero emissions in tourism high on the agenda: 

- We work purposefully every day to create sustainable tourism destinations and we set ourselves ambitious goals to reduce our own and our guests' emissions. Together with ViteMeir We can create more interest in tourism as a career and inspire children and young people to work and develop a future-oriented and sustainable industry.

The sustainable tourism theme zone is under production and will be ready for visitors when ViteMeir opens its doors in the fall of 2021.
