Inspire and congratulate
Andreas Wahl makes science fun and understandable for everyone.
Andreas Wahl is a physicist, science communicator and broadcaster. Andreas has risked his life for science in Med livet som innsats (NRK), volunteered to educate people through Folkeopplysningen (NRK), written four popular science books, a science textbook (NOVA, CapellenDamm) and won the Norwegian morel stone spitting championship four times. In addition, Andreas has toured the country with his science shows, most recently with the performance Elektrisk.
Andreas Wahl has been one of many inspirations in the planning of ViteMeir. He has many good words to share now that the center has been given the go-ahead for construction.
- "I've been following behind the scenes and heard about the project. It's very cool that they're up and running, it's going to be exciting," he says in his video greeting to ViteMeir.
Project manager Marianne Jevnaker took part in the seminar Science Heroes last fall, where Andreas Wahl gathered educators and others for science education a little "outside the box". "A science center isn't supposed to offer traditional classroom teaching, the focus here is on alternative learning methods in science.
- "Particularly relevant and educational," says Jevnaker, who talks about experiments with taste, lots of pyro, a potato cannon in practice and many exciting chemistry exercises. "This is important inspiration that we are now taking with us in our further work on content development at the center.
