Join us in roaring for the climate!

Are you ready to roar for the climate? I am! On Monday, April 4 at 11 a.m., the Roarphone will come to ViteMeir. Truls-Einar Johnsen from Klimapartner Vestland and Amalie Holmfjord from "The Future in Our Hands" in Sogndal will open the installation.

The roar from Klimabrølet is on tour in Norway, and it will be outside ViteMeir for the whole of April. How many roars for the climate, nature, people and the planet can we collect in the course of a month?

How many roars can I collect at Kaupanger?
The roarphone has collected 32,343 roars before it came to us. Bergensarane roared about 10,000 times in March. Will we manage to top this in April?

What is a howler phone?
The howler phone is an interactive work of art developed by Klimabrølet. The goal is for as many people as possible to roar for the climate within four years. The roar will highlight that we need a change if we are to save our future. Will Norway manage to collect two million roars during a parliamentary term, four years? And how many will Sogn og Fjordane be able to contribute? Go to ViteMeir, enjoy a beautiful luminous work of art, and roar away!

Started in 2019
Even Nord Rydningen started Klimabrølet in 2019. The goal was to create the largest climate protest in Norwegian history. When the pandemic hit in 2020, other methods had to be used to reach out to people, and the Brølofon became an important symbol that would bring together roar and commitment. Brølofonen is a reverse roper where you record your roars on klimabrølet.no, and then Brølofonen plays all the roars together throughout an entire parliamentary term.
