Experience the exhibition

3rd floor

Get on the motorbike and feel the wind blowing your hair backwards. Compete to blow balls using the Bernoulli effect, or work together to build a mountain. On the 3rd floor of ViteMeir The theme is the top of both the globe and the body. Here you can learn about weather, wind and outer space, and challenge the little greys in Sophus Lie's mathematical world.

Sophus Lie is the mascot of ViteMeir , but before he achieved this star status, the priest's son from Nordfjordeid was best known as one of Norway's greatest mathematicians. On ViteMeir Sophus offers exciting math puzzles and a mathematical climbing tower that invites you into mathematics.

Did you know that Earth is the only planet we have found life on? What makes Earth so special, and why is there life here? On the 3rd floor you can learn more about how the Earth is made up and how it has changed throughout history. Test how the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere affects the climate on Earth, and which planets lie in what scientists call the habitable zone, or golden zone.

Our favorites on the 3rd floor:

Build a tower and see how long it lasts during an earthquake

Learn basic programming on the "Kodeborde"

Put together the continents on Earth as they were before, as they are now and as you think they will be in the future

Fly through the air and collect postcards with the "Paragliding Simulator"

Build a slide on the wall using Archimedes' screw
