AVAILABILITY - on ViteMeir

ViteMeir wants to be inclusive and accessible to everyone. We are continuously working on universal design of both the website and the exhibition .

Wheelchair users and people with limited mobility

There are 5 HC parking spaces outside the building. All parking is free, but you must have a valid HC card to use these spaces.

There is step-free access and automatic entrance doors.

There is barrier-free access to meeting rooms and the exhibition, with an elevator to all floors. Disabled toilets on all floors. There are a few exhibitions with stairs, we are working to make these accessible to more people.

Limited vision

Guide dogs are welcome in the center.

There are guide lines on all floors.

All of our exhibitions are tactile. We do not have braille, but we are continuously working on the size and contrast of text and information in the exhibition.

Limited hearing

Most of the center is available as text.

We also constantly work to limit unnecessary noise from our exhibitions.

Sound and noise

Are you sensitive to loud noises? We have hearing protection available for children to borrow at reception.

We work to avoid unnecessary noise from our exhibitions, but our building is very open and there may therefore be some noise from active visitors on busy days. Some days and times are quieter than others. Weekdays throughout the school year it is usually quieter after 1:00 PM. On nice weather days it is generally quieter in the center, both on weekends and during holidays.
